Registering a Trade License in Prague
After we have received all required documents from you, it is time to select one (or more) tradelicenses from a list with 80 entries, specifying the future business activity.
Note: for most of the tradelicenses you do not have to show qualifications or certificates, if they fall in the "Výroba, obchod a služby neuvedené; v prílohách 1 až 3 živnostenského zákona" category.
There are certain types (such as financial- and medical-related) which are not of that type. However, 99% of our foreign clients have a 'free-trade' type of tradelicense.
Once the tradelicence type has been chosen, we will go to the tradelicense register with you to make the application.
For EU Citizens:
After 3-5 workingdays we will pick up the official document, the so-called "výpis ze živnostenského rejstříku" and then we will register you at the tax office, social office and health insurance (see next page).
Also you should get an EU Residence Permit, since you are doing business here.
For 3rd-Country National with Residence Permit
After 3-5 workingdays we will pick up the official document, the so-called "výpis ze živnostenského rejstříku" and then we will register you at the tax office and social office.
In case you have a Permanent Residence Permit also registration for monthly health charges is obligated. (see next page).
For 3rd-Country Nationals without D-Visa:
After 3-5 workingdays we will pick up the proof that you are entitled to get a trade license (you will need for the embassy to apply for a D-Visa for Business purposes). After getting the Visa, we will register you at the Commercial Court and then at the tax office and social office (see next page).
For 3rd-Country Nationals with D-Visa:
After 3-5 workingdays we will pick up the he official document, the so-called "výpis ze živnostenského rejstříku", but it doesn't have an IČO yet. After getting the Commercial Court we will get the official trade license with IČO and then we will register you at the tax office and social office (see next page).
